Prior to founding bpv GRIGORESCU, Cătălin Grigorescu was a Legal Partner in a reputable international law firm. Over almost ten years of professional activity, Cătălin Grigorescu has advised local and international industry leaders in connection with their interests in Romania. He was involved in a coordinating role in the first high profile private-to-private transaction in the oil and gas industry and he has also taken the leading role in advising a leading Romanian bank on, at that time, the largest syndicated loan granted to a Romanian entity without governmental guarantees.
Cătălin Grigorescu is leading the firm's corporate practice and has specialized expertise in the area of corporate reorganization and restructuring, where he can also make use of his in-depth understanding of tax law. Other areas of his practice include Banking and Finance, Real Estate and Construction.
Cătălin Grigorescu is a law graduate of the University of Bucharest and holds an international degree in EU Competition law from the University of Bremen in Germany. He is an active member of the bpv LEGAL alliance’s Practice Group EU and Competition. Cătălin Grigorescu is quoted as recommended competition lawyer for Romania by some of the most prestigious international independent researchers such as PLC Which Lawyer.
He is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association and of the International Bar Association. Apart from his native Romanian, he advises in English and German. |
