Liz Minea has joined bpv GRIGORESCU in 2009 as a Partner and leads the firm`s Litigation and Arbitration practice. Previously she was a civil and commercial litigation partner with a prominent Romanian law firm specialising in white-collar defence and litigation.
Liz Minea brings to the firm the wealth of almost fourteen years of private litigation and arbitration experience in the areas of civil, commercial and administrative law. In addition, she has significant public office experience as a general secretary of an important local administration office.
Her recent work includes successfully representing a leading Romanian energy company and its chairman in litigation against a Romanian agency for moral damage claims first ever awarded in a case of this nature. Also, she has recently represented the owners of a highly controversial property in Bucharest in successfully claiming back the property from the Romanian State. Further, she has represented corporate and individual clients in high profile administrative litigation in the areas of public procurement, concessions, zoning and planning, expropriation and restitution.
Liz Minea complements her litigation work with advisory work in the areas of Real Estate and Public Procurement. She was part of the committee drafting the implementing regulations on expropriation for public interest and has been involved in the expropriation project for the construction of the highway A2 Bucharest-Constanta.
Liz Minea is a graduate of the University of Bucharest with degrees in Law and History. She advises in Romanian and English. |
