Over 50 professionals and staff of the bpv LEGAL alliance firms have gathered last Friday in Bucharest to celebrate the first anniversary of the alliance.
The program started on Friday with the annual EU Law training attended by over 30 professionals from the entire CEE region as well as by prominent officials of Romanian public authorities. The EU Law training is a regular event organised by bpv LEGAL in its various member firms offices under the coordination of the professionals in the Brussels office. The seminar was primarily focused on the latest developments in the European antitrust and merger control, state aid and public procurement, as well as on the application of European and national regulation in the alliance`s jurisdictions.
Friday evening and Saturday was reserved for team building and celebration activities related to the 1 year anniversary of the establishment of the bpv LEGAL alliance and included the bpv LEGAL Bucharest Grand Prix kart race and a formal dinner.
“The first year of our bpv LEGAL alliance was a real success, with all alliance firms showing significant growth in their respective jurisdictions. Most encouraging was the positive reaction of our clients towards the new concept, as we are happy to notice an increase in multi-jurisdictional transactions advised by several member firms. This demonstrates that our alliance works in practice”, so Catalin Grigorescu, managing partner of bpv GRIGORESCU in Bucharest, which hosted the event. “For the future we look at strengthening the ties between the alliance members and gradually expanding to new jurisdictions such as Bulgaria and Poland”.
