New deadlines for connecting fiscal electronic cash registers

On March 30, 2021, new regulations[1] have been approved as regards the connecting of fiscal electronic cash registers to the National Agency for Fiscal Administration’s national computer system for the surveillance and monitoring of fiscal data (“NAFA’s computer system”).

According to the new regulations, the connection of fiscal electronic cash registers to NAFA’s computer system has to be achieved at the latest by:

(i) June 30, 2021, by large taxpayers;
(ii) November 30, 2021, by medium and small taxpayers.

For fiscal electronic cash registers purchased after December 1st, 2021, the connection to NAFA’s computer system shall be made upon the installation date of the fiscal electronic cash register.

On the same date as the publication of the new regulations, the National Agency for Fiscal Administration also published an updated Guide on the connection of fiscal electronic cash registers to NAFA’s computer system[2].
