New platform implemented by MADR for the transfer and destination of agricultural land located extra-muros

Starting from the 1st of March 2024, the Sole National Register Application for the registration of the transfer and destination of agricultural land located in extra-muros.(“Sole Register“) is available.

The application aims to facilitate the pre-emption right procedure provided by Law 17/2014 regarding some measures regulating the sale of agricultural land located in extra-muros.

In brief, the following operations can be performed through the application Sole Register:
Registration of requests for the publication of offers for the sale of agricultural land located in extra-muros, including the supporting documents of the sellers;
Registration of requests for the notification of acceptance of offers for sale and the supporting documents of preemptors;
Registration of applications for offers to purchase and supporting documents of buyers;
Publication of offers to sell and communications of acceptance of offers to sell;
Operationalization of the registration procedures by the responsible parties;
The flow of documents between the local territorial administrative units and MADR’s specialized territorial structures;
Follow-up of the status of the file and publication of the documents issued within these procedures.

It is important to mention that until March 1st 2025, the data in the Sole Register in electronic format will be filled in at the same time as the completion of the current offline procedures namely, the documents will still need to be submitted in physical format at the competent territorial administrative units.

After the 1st of March 2025, only electronic registrations in the Sole Register application will be allowed.
